BroadwayWorld has just unveiled some more information about Hugh Jackman returning to Broadway, this time as an production entitled “Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway.” He’ll be performing at the Broadhurst Theatre from October 25, 2011 to January 1, 2012. It’s Official! Tony Award-winner Hugh Jackman will return to the New York stage next month in Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway, playing October 25 2011 to January 1 2012 at The Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street). The official opening night has been set for November 10.
Tickets are on sale through American Express at Telecharge.com or by calling 212-239-6200. General on-sale begins September 26. Tickets go on sale on a priority basis for American Express Cardmembers on September 14th at 10am.
Accompanied by an 18-piece orchestra, Hugh Jackman performs a personal selection of his favorite musical numbers that reflect on the stage and film star’s remarkable life and career, from The Boy from Oz to Hollywood.
“I can’t believe it’s been 7 years since I was singing and dancing on Broadway,” said Hugh Jackman of today’s announcement. “There is nothing like performing on the Great White Way and I’m so excited to be coming ‘home.'”
