The first film still featuring Hugh Jackman in X-Men: Days Of Future Past has been released. This will be his seventh – that’s right, seventh! – time portraying the character of Wolverine on film. Wearing some swanky 70s garb, he’s pictured alongside James McAvoy (portraying a young Charles Xavier, aka Professor X) and Nicholas Hoult (a young Hank McCoy, aka Beast).
I’ve also added a couple of behind the scenes images to the gallery, as provided by producer Lauren Shuler Donner and director Bryan Singer. The latter picture features Hugh on the final day of principle photography.
A new, HQ image from Prisoners has been released and added to the gallery. The image features a confrontation between Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal’s characters. On a related note, those two actors will be attending the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) next month. More information below:
Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming drama, Prisoners, will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film will first be screened on Friday, September 6th (9pm) at the Elgin Theater. According to this press release, Hugh and Jake are scheduled to attend the premiere along with co-stars, Melissa Leo, Terrence Howard, and Paul Dano. TIFF has also recently updated the running time as 146 minutes.
Earlier this year, Hugh Jackman sat down with Oprah Winfrey to chat about his life and career. The special aired last Sunday, but there are a few noteworthy clips online if you happened to miss the broadcast. Click on the image above for a few videos of Hugh talking about his Wolverine workout (in which Oprah very audible admires his rock-hard, Photoshop-esque abs), his biggest fears (including what he was afraid of as a child), and how he and his wife deal with married life in the public eye (Deborra-Lee Furness does make an appearance).

On Wednesday, July 24th, Hugh Jackman made another appearance on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” As was the case last time, they had great rapport throughout and even played a little game at the end — this time, one that involved beer and vodka. Fallon recently introduced a baby girl into the world – his first child – so Hugh gives him some fatherhood advice in the interview, including a book to detail various special moments. There also a great ongoing joke about “the clamps” in the second clip which is very, very funny (while tying into The Wolverine). Definitely check this interview out, before Hulu takes them down.
