According to Deadline, Hugh Jackman has been offered a role in the upcoming film, Snow White and the Huntsman, as the Huntsman himself. Viggo Mortensen was originally to the role, but had to drop out, causing Universal to seek another A-list name to help keep up the energy of the film. With The Wolverine postponed while a new director is sought out, Hugh has some extra time and could potentially join this highly anticipated project. Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron have already been cast, as Snow White and the evil queen, respectively.
In the same article by Deadline, author Mike Fleming also mentioned potential directors joining The Wolverine, namely Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) and David Slade (Hard Candy, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse).
